Shabby Chic Halloween? Why not?!

Why not? This is how usually my projects start 😁
I find the idea of Halloween is pretty cool but I don't like the dark colors. And here is idea begins!

Look at her! Is she enough shabby?

Have you ever thought that shabby chic witches exist?

I think, she's a looker! And what about her fashionable shoes?

And she has this sweetest kitty!

And besides, she let me take a selfie with her! I'm so exited!

Shabby Pumpkin

Could you guess what this pumpkin is made of?
I used the ordinary toilet paper rolls to create it!

That is what I usually call "from trash to treasure" project!
Objects that no longer work for their intended purpose can often be used for another.
Just paint two toilet paper rolls inside and outside with a white acrylic paint, cut them into even pieces and tie them together using a jute rope!

Use it as a home decoration or a gift to amaze your friens and family members.

Romantic Notions

Using a knack for finding new uses for ordinary objects I imbue my home with shabby chic character.

Using old book pages for the rosette, paper doily and handmade fabric flower, I made these simple but very shabby ornaments.

I spend so much time to make my crafting space more shabby looking and transform it into a place with oodles of charm...

In case if you would like to create these rosettes but don't know how, I bring to your attention this tutorial

New Antique Envelopes

What to do in the absence of a flea market?
Just create the the piece of antique by yourself!

I used coffee dyed paper and some suitable stamps to create these absolutely antique envelopes.

Proof to me once again that making the things by hands is worth it!

A Touch of Shabby Glamor

Perfume bottles are always a perfect choice to start the shabby chic decoration with! Even if they are brand new ones, they often have an antique shape, so you may only to add a little bit to give them absolutely shabby look.

If you have some tassels and a bit of lace it will take very little time to turn them out to the nicely detailed addition to any place setting.

The subtle alteration gives the objects a new life!

Simple Alteration

To creat this shabby chic wall pocket I used an old book hard cover.

How we decorate is an expression of our individual style.

Behind most decorating, for me, is thought, patience, imagination, and a satisfaction of making something that express love and affection.

The alteration of things is one of the form of decoration and allows me to give free rein to my creative imagination.

Floral Tenderness

Blossoms such as roses have inspired poets and artists for centuries, in shabby chic style, these and many other flowers abound.
Floral embllishments are ideal for a variety of decorating purposes. These stylish ornaments will add a lively touch to you junk journal cover or apparel.

Soft pink, beige and champagne color palette works well and provide a soothing and delightful image!

Each Coffe Jar Deserves To Be A Vase

They were the modest coffe jars before I turned them out to these absolutely SHABBY looking vase/pincussions.

They not only very beautiful, but also functional! A pincussion on the top and a conteiner in the jar. A double benefit!

  And more detailes...

I still have two roud jars and if you would like to purchase them just let me know. We can always make a good bargain!

Why?

I decided to launch this blog because I have realized lately, that I need the place for self expression where the flow of time is more calm and peaceful rather than on Facebook or Instagram. They remind me a big city where all in a hurry, try to get ahead of each other, scrolling on the run a news feed to catch up the recent evens, skipping the other.
This dynamic is not for me. I'm a looser in this perpetual race. I like to do things slowly, enjoy the moment, try to live every minute as a whole life.
Here, in peace and quiet I can show my creations, tell stories behind them, invite friends to spend the morning time with me, looking at the lovely things we can discover around us, share the thoughts and love.
Be my guest, make yourself comfortable and let me to walk you through the gorgeous world of sweet shabby chic dreams! Feel like a princess in the foam of lace from the sugar realm. I think we're all still the little princesses deeply inside!
   With love, Vera.
